Cooden Beach Golf Club

Guidelines for Visiting Societies

MOBILE TELEPHONES
Whilst accepting that in times of absolute extreme emergency the use of cellular communications may be necessary, the Committee respectfully reminds members and visitors that the use of mobile telephones is not permitted within the Clubhouse area and all such phones should be switched to silent mode whilst in the confines of the Clubhouse and on the course.  Calls should be made and taken outside the Clubhouse.

ETIQUETTE
All golfers are expected to observe the usual standards of etiquette with particular reference to SLOW PLAY, REPAIR OF PITCH MARKS ON GREENS, DIVOT REPLACEMENT, REMOVAL OF MARKS IN BUNKERS AND REPLACEMENT OF BUNKER RAKES.

DEPOSIT
A non-refundable deposit of £ 5 per head is required and should be returned with the Reservation Form. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Cooden Beach Golf Club'. This amount will be deducted from the final bill on the day.

PAYMENT
The balance of the bill should be paid to the General Manager's office on arrival or by arrangement to the Steward at the end of the day.

HANDICAP CERTIFICATES
Handicap Certificates will be required on the day so please ensure that all members of the group are made aware of this and are able to produce them on request.

MINIMUM NUMBERS
The minimum number of players permitted in a society is 12 and any reduction on this minimum number on the day itself will be charged as 12 players.

FINAL NUMBERS
Final numbers should be confirmed to the Club not less than 24 hours before the day. Any reduction in numbers on the day itself will be charged at the previously advised number.

PLAYING ARRANGEMENTS AND PACE OF PLAY
Society tees are Yellow. Starting times are allocated at 7 minute intervals and these should be strictly adhered to on the day.

To ensure the pace of play is maintained, the Club's preferred format of play is three ball, unless prior arrangement is agreed by the General Manager. Please arrange for your faster players to lead the field and remind your group that play must proceed at a reasonable pace. Putting out when it is not possible to score only wastes time and the ball should be picked up and play should move to the next tee.

SECURITY
The Club does not accept responsibility for any equipment or property left in or around the Clubhouse or the car park. Valuables should not be left in the changing rooms. There is an access code number to the Changing Rooms which changes regularly and is obtainable from the Professional.

PRO-SHOP
The Professional has a fully stocked shop and maintains an excellent range of items suitable for prizes as well as supervising the hire of Trolleys. Buggies are also available for hire by prior arrangement.

During the winter months it is advisable to check beforehand with the Professional as to whether or not trolleys and buggies are permitted.

Direct line: 01424 843938.

SNOOKER
Subject always to availability, visitors may also make use of our snooker facilities, where we have two full-size tables regulated by light meters.

The Committee of Cooden Beach Golf Club join me in wishing you an enjoyable day's golf and if I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
