The Holes
Hole 1
Probably one of the most difficult opening holes in Sussex. Especially demanding with a strong south-westerly wind, and considerably easier with a following Easterly  Read more

Hole 2
A relatively easy par 5 and reasonable chance for a birdie  Read more

Hole 3
The third hole, the first of five par threes. When you walk through the pathway and face the hole you will instantly know how difficult it is going to be  Read more

Hole 4
This hole has been improved over the years with the introduction of a pond and an additional bunker just beyond the first bunker on the right of the fairway  Read more

Hole 5
The fifth hole is our shortest par four on the course, and whilst probably the easiest to birdie it still has numerous hazards to catch even the best of players  Read more

Hole 6
Great care is required when lining up the drive as, ideally, it's quite important to place the ball on the right side of the fairway  Read more

Hole 7
The seventh hole is a very difficult par three especially from the white tee. The green is elevated, making it easy for the ball to roll off to the right or left  Read more

Hole 8
The eighth hole is the longest of our par fives. The first consideration on the tee is how to avoid the pond and the bunker when driving off  Read more

Hole 9
The ninth hole is perhaps the signature hole of Cooden. From the tee, depending on the wind, several options are available  Read more

Hole 10
Standing on the tenth tee with a wind howling over your left shoulder, makes you realise this is one of the most difficult holes on the course  Read more

Hole 11
From the tee, the better golfer will probably aim his shot so that it cuts the corner of the rough over the mound and draw onto the fairway  Read more

Hole 12
It is mooted, at present that there might be some alterations to this hole because of its close proximity to the road on the right of the course boundary  Read more

Hole 13
When the wind comes from the south west and your golf is going well the thirteenth hole can be the start of six holes where you can pick up a few shots as all holes are easily reachable in regulation  Read more

Hole 14
The fourteenth is a very interesting short hole. For the tee shot, depending on weather conditions, you may require a nine iron or even a driver when a strong easterly wind is full in your face  Read more

Hole 15
The fifteenth has been changed over the years. Primarily with the addition of the pond on the left of the fairway, more recently two new bunkers were added approximately 100 yards from the green  Read more

Hole 16
The sixteenth hole is probably the easiest of our five par threes. The green is well protected by bunkers and is our only par three, which has a front bunker  Read more

Hole 17
The tee shot favours a draw, for right handed players, especially as the fairway slopes to the left so a well hit shot on the right line will run a long way  Read more

Hole 18
The eighteenth hole is a par five and should offer most members a chance of making a birdie. This is made easier with a following wind offering most golfers the potential to get on in three and with a little luck hole the putt  Read more
